Exercise 1

With time expressions referring to the future the present simple and present continuous are used to describe future actions.
- The present simple is used in official schedules and timetables.
- The present continuous is used for personal future arrangements.

Present simple: The express train to Glasgow departs at 10.15.
Present continuous: We are going to Scotland tomorrow.

The Big Day

A: Have you heard of Brad and Mimi?

B: Brad and Mimi? What's happened?
