Make the policeman's questions in the past simple or past continuous.

Example: Policeman: What ___ yesterday at 8.15? (you/do)
James: I was driving to work.
Policeman: What time ___ ? (meet/the dog)
James: I saw him at about 8.30.



Policeman: Mr. Lullaby, what yesterday at 8.15? (you/do)
James: I was driving to work as usual.

Policeman: What time ? (you/meet/the dog)
James: I saw him at about 8.30. He was sitting in the middle of the road.

Policeman: when you saw the dog? (drive/fast)
James: No, I wasn't. It was quite foggy.

Policeman: What when you stopped? (the dog/do)
James: When I got out of the car, he ran away.

Policeman: How the two girls? (you/find)
James: The dog came back again and I followed him.

Policeman: anyone else? (you/see)
James: No, I didn't. The road was empty.

Policeman: an ambulance? (you/call)
James: Well, I tried to. But when I was trying to call it, there was no signal. So I drove the girls to the hospital.

Policeman: How long ? (the journey/take)
James: It took about 30 minutes. It was endless.

Policeman: when you drove the girls to the hospital? (they/still/bleed)
James: Yes, all the way. I didn't know what to do.

James: I'd like to ask you a question, too. ? (the girls/survive)
Policeman: Yes, they did. Owing to you, Mr. Lullaby.
